Nea Potidea is a large coastal village of Halkidiki. The population is 1,588 inhabitants and is located at 6 km south of Nea Moudania, at the narrowest point of the peninsula Cassandra.
The main attraction of New Potidea is the canal that connects the two gulfs, Thermaikos and Toroneos while main temples are St. George, who is also the patron saint, as well as the Virgin Faneromeni, the church of St. Nicholas, and in a short distance from the village the St. Eustatius (dependency of the Holy Monastery of Mount Athos Docheiareiou).
During summer is a tourist resort and is home to many tourists. It has a very long beach located along the coast of Nea Potidea. Here there are opportunities for water sports, for beach volley, there are many beach bars with sunbeds and umbrellas where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or coffee. It also has a variety of restaurants to enjoy the Greek gastronomy and more.
